12 Months!

It is so hard to believe that Isaac used to be this little:

1 month

 ...and look at him now!

1 year old!

It doesn't even look like the same little guy, does it? I've talked to other mothers, and it seems that the consensus is that we just don't remember the first year very much. I honestly don't remember him being younger than he is now or looking very different than he does now. I am so thankful for pictures and my monthly posts! I am going to need to kick it up here in the future, however; I can't post just once a month. I'll try to make it a mid-year resolution to post more, starting....later.


Anyway, on to Isaac's 12 month milestones. Before I start, I have to say that
 I think one of the coolest things is that he is wearing the same diapers in both of the pictures up there! I just adore cloth-diapering...I will never stop!

& use my mouth whenever possible *yikes*

This month, I ...

 

*Ate all the foods that Mom & Dad ate!

*"Say MAMA, Isaac!" "DA DA DA DA DA DA DA!!!"

*Stood for short periods of time...no walking yet

*Blew kisses to all my friends and family

*Waved hi and bye (I have a unique waving style)

*Played peekaboo with my bib

*Grabbed my mom's hands so she would sing Patty Cake to me

*Bounced and jiggled to my favorite songs

*Opened and shut the doors at the Children's Museum play area for 10 minutes straight

*Raced up those stairs!

*Treated any object like a phone (a sock, box, stuffed animal), held it up to my ear, and grunted a convo 

*Went completely underwater at swim lessons (I love my teacher, Ms. Sarah!)

11 Months

Batter up!

11 months is here! Hard to believe that only one year ago we were prepping the nursery for our little arrival, and now he leaves a trail of destruction all over it, chews on his crib, and pees on the carpet RIGHT after I take his diaper off ... two days in a row. :o) What can I say? He has really worn in his room.  Let's see what Isaac has been up to this busy month: the good, the bad, & the dirty.

 May was a month of discovering the house as Isaac zoomed from corner to corner with his newfound speed and agility. We had many visitors and helpers when I got my wisdom teeth out. We are so grateful for all the love and support!

This month, I ...

discovered the stairs, the dishwasher, and all of the modem and cable cords under the TV!

opened and shut every door and cabinet I could reach

stood on my own

got my two top teeth (their buddies are on their way!)

walked with help

crawled for real - no more army crawling for me!

went to Gymboree and learned to slide

started to "Ga!"

10 Months

Happy Spring, everyone! What gorgeous weather we have been having. I hope the coolness holds on for a bit longer because I don't know how I'm going to fare with keeping this little one entertained in the heat! 

Isaac is SO much fun right now and just too cute. Enjoy him in all his ten month splendor!
