Isaac is 2!

What a wonderful two years it's been since God brought the Honeybun into our lives. He is the teddy bear that I asked for and the perfect child for me - the Man upstairs knew what he was doing! 

We went to the doctor for the Honeybun's 2-year checkup and the most interesting part of the appointment was not breaking news: Isaac's head continues to be huge. I think it's partially the hair, but it can't account for the entire 97 percentile. Let's just blame it on his incredibly large brain, shall we?

Isaac had a "transportation" party at church for his birthday and much fun was had by all. Although he maintained his bashful/quiet demeanor, he seemed to have fun and enjoyed having all his friends together. It's amazing how many buddies you can amass in such a short lifespan!

365 days a year...

Is there anyone else who likes to drink hot chocolate all year round? Yes, this is possible, even in Texas. I know many people out there have their own personal hot chocolate recipe that they love, and I wanted to share my family's favorite. Thanks, Aunt Cindy, for passing this along!

Aunt Cindy's Hot Chocolate Mix

Blend together in large bowl:

*One 8-quart box of powdered milk
*32 oz. box of Nestlé’s Quick
*15 oz. jar malted milk
*10 oz. Jar creamer
*1 lb. box powdered sugar
*½ cup cocoa

Mix 1/3 cup with 6 oz. hot water, pop some marshmallows on top, and enjoy!
