Isaac is 2!

What a wonderful two years it's been since God brought the Honeybun into our lives. He is the teddy bear that I asked for and the perfect child for me - the Man upstairs knew what he was doing!

We went to the doctor for the Honeybun's 2-year checkup and the most interesting part of the appointment was not breaking news: Isaac's head continues to be huge. I think it's partially the hair, but it can't account for the entire 97 percentile. Let's just blame it on his incredibly large brain, shall we?

Isaac had a "transportation" party at church for his birthday and much fun was had by all. Although he maintained his bashful/quiet demeanor, he seemed to have fun and enjoyed having all his friends together. It's amazing how many buddies you can amass in such a short lifespan!

Happy birthday, Isaac!

21 (+1) Months!

I am realizing how little photos I take these days. In my rushes out the door, I concentrate on the contents of my diaper bag and whether or not I put on deodorant, so the camera rarely makes its way into my possession.

Here are a few moments that I managed to capture these past few months, plus a video or two. Have a great last month of springtime!

I (Isaac) like to...
Ride in race cars, of course!
eat oranges with Dad (I help peel!)
Eat Cheerios - "yeah yeahs"
Eat French fries (I do a lot of eating)
Hunt for Easter eggs in police cars
Help Mom sweep

Chill in tractors with pretty ladies
Snack on freshly picked strawberries
Hang out in the beautiful spring weather!
Eat more strawberries!
Monitor Mom's strawberry-picking efforts
Have a sticky strawberry face!

And in green diaper adventures, we discover a host of Isaac's talents...

18 Month Update

Hello friends and family! Isaac has been a very busy dude the past few months. Aaron and I went on a vacation to the Bahamas with my brother Matt and his wife, Stacey, so Isaac had his own fun trip to Austin.

Merry Christmas from Staniel Cay Yacht Club!
After spending a week with Aunt Nikki, Aunt Jenny, and cousin Jaron, Isaac picked up a great deal of energy and speed. Now he is walking and talking nonstop around the house! Here are some fun glimpses of what he's been up to...

Helping Mommy garden.
Getting my first haircut - ouch!
All done - Mommy had fun but I'm not sure if I did.
Where are those sheep?! I'm ready to tend some flocks by night!
Merry Christmas from Fort Worth

My first snowfall on Christmas day
Aunt Sarah gave me a food pouch for my Christmas morning snack - she's a smart lady!
The snowman Daddy made for me.

Snowdudes
Merry Christmas!

All those presents and I wanted to play in the box!
Eating from the cheerio trough with my friend Jonah
*Liz giggles*
I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and that 2013 is off to a great start! See you soon!

12 Months!

It is so hard to believe that Isaac used to be this little:

1 month
 ...and look at him now!

1 year old!
It doesn't even look like the same little guy, does it? I've talked to other mothers, and it seems that the consensus is that we just don't remember the first year very much. I honestly don't remember him being younger than he is now or looking very different than he does now. I am so thankful for pictures and my monthly posts! I am going to need to kick it up here in the future, however; I can't post just once a month. I'll try to make it a mid-year resolution to post more, starting....later.

Anyway, on to Isaac's 12 month milestones. Before I start, I have to say that
I think one of the coolest things is that he is wearing the same diapers in both of the pictures up there! I just adore cloth-diapering...I will never stop!

Isaac Aaron: 23.5 lbs & 31 inches
Check it out: 7 teeth & counting!
I love to climb....

& use my mouth whenever possible *yikes*
This month, I ...

*Ate all the foods that Mom & Dad ate!
*"Say MAMA, Isaac!" "DA DA DA DA DA DA DA!!!"
*Stood for short periods of time...no walking yet
*Blew kisses to all my friends and family
*Waved hi and bye (I have a unique waving style)
*Played peekaboo with my bib
*Grabbed my mom's hands so she would sing Patty Cake to me
*Bounced and jiggled to my favorite songs
*Opened and shut the doors at the Children's Museum play area for 10 minutes straight
*Raced up those stairs!
*Treated any object like a phone (a sock, box, stuffed animal), held it up to my ear, and grunted a convo
*Went completely underwater at swim lessons (I love my teacher, Ms. Sarah!)
My handsome men on Father's Day

Thank for you helping with Isaac's PAWty, Aunt Sarah!

Isaac & Marmee

Right before we gave Isaac his cake ... & he didn't want ANYTHING to do with it!

Although he was very interested in his first Chickfila chicken nugget!

My son does NOT like kiddie pools

@ the children's museum: "What's in there, Mom?"

Open, shut, open, shut, open, shut....

A pool of balls?! Is this heaven??

Two cousins in the front seat...does I see a glimpse of the future? *eek*

My sweet Aunt Jenny reading me a story

Cake Take 2: I LOVE IT!
Here are a few pics of the decor from the puppy-themed PAWTY:

Doesn't he look a little like King Henry?

Hope to see you soon!
