Hello world!

Baby A has arrived! Say hello to Isaac Aaron Aldape. :o)

I have scads of info to update, so instead of giving a very long diatribe, we will have a photo essay of the past few weeks!

Isaac decided that he was going to be breech and stay that way, so I had to get a c-section on June 27th, 10 days before his due date. By the time the day rolled around, I was so ready! We called the following ten days his "bonus life."
He's here! C-sections are amazing. It all happened so quickly and all I had to
was lay down and wait!...and I'm in love!

I will try and write more in another post - there is so much to share and I don't want to overload everyone! It has already been quite a journey and our faith has been put to the test. Being a parent certainly isn't easy! It is such a change, but it seems as if Isaac has always been a part of our lives. He is such a joy and blessing.

A few more updates:

Nursery!
The sailboat theme is the cutest and I love how everything came together.

His decal (from Etsy) turned out well. I love the little boy on the boat!
Mom made the curtains and they turned out perfectly. We'll probably get rid of the bed once our stream of visitors begins to trickle off; then we'll move his book shelf over. That chair is the best. Chair. Ever. I have already spent many a nighttime feeding nursing and watching old Cheers episodes.I had the alphabet and sailboat art custom made on Etsy. They are the cutest!

Bathroom!

This is the bathroom attached to Isaac's room. It is GORGEOUS - I wish it were mine! Aaron and I are so glad to be done with renovations. They are worth it, but they certainly take up a lot of time and $$.

Now that I am back among the living, I will try and post more often. I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer so far and THANK YOU for your prayers!
