It's Spring!

The garden is officially done today. Aaron was such a sweetheart and put the sod down, helped me plant the plants, and did the majority of the mulching today. It looks great! Here are the before and after pictures:A closeup of the flower bed
This is the "meadow" part of the yard. In a month or two, I'm going to put some hanging wall baskets on the fence with some pretty flowers and ivy. It's interesting how you can decorate fences just like walls! In a few weeks, some Caladiums should pop up along the wall as well.

I love my flower pot! I am going to do another Spring project in a few weeks where I'm going to paint some little pots for Easter.
These are the Spring flowers that I'm waiting for them to bloom.
We planted some Astilbes and Hostas along the wall that should bloom in the summer. I'm thinking a little decorative iron w/ ivy would look good in this corner...

Another close up. :)This is my "forest" corner. There are ferns all along the back that should grow pretty tall. I want to put a bird house in the corner as soon as I find the right one!
Eek, the tulips are coming out! These remind me of my Dad, who calls them "Two Lips." I'll post a picture when they all bloom.

Okay, garden...GROW! :)

Enjoy this beautiful Spring weather and don't forget to stop and smell the roses!
